a vibrant and affirmative congregation and ministry
New Bedford, Massachusetts

The Rev. Andrea Castner Wyatt, Assistant Rector

Rev. Andrea was ordained an Episcopal Priest at Grace Episcopal Church in December of 2015 by Bishop Gayle E. Harris. Sharing in Christ’s ministry with the people of this amazing parish is a great joy for Andrea.

She discovered The Episcopal Church through The Crossing Congregation at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Boston in 2007, and she was confirmed by Bishop Tom Shaw in 2011. Preparing for ordination, Andrea was active in ministry at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Watertown, and then served at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Southborough.

Previously, Andrea was an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (Congregational tradition) since 2001, serving churches in Framingham, Holliston, and Lexington. While Andrea moved through the Episcopal Church’s discernment and ordination process, she worked as a Hospice Chaplain, a ministry of accompaniment and prayer at end of life.

The daughter of a Presbyterian Minister, Rev. Andrea studied Religious Studies at the College of Wooster in Ohio, and met her spouse Chuck Wyatt in graduate school at Harvard Divinity School. Chuck is Manager of Web Technical Services at Clark University. Chuck and Andrea are the proud parents of Molly and Emma Wyatt.
