We are pleased to report that Laundry Love Community Outreach, which serves the poor and homeless in our community, continues to flourish on a monthly basis.

The last Monday of every month we take over the E-Z Clean Laundry Center on Summer Street in New Bedford.

Southcoast Health has supported us financially, and sends their Wellness Van several times a year for our clients.
Many thanks to them for this service!

This ministry started in April 2015 at the suggestion of Tori Laskey, then an intern at Grace--one of the Life Together interns supported by our diocese.  A committee was formed to continue this very important ministry after Tori left.

We are blessed to have volunteers and donors to help with this worthy cause.

In 2016, we served 498 people, who processed 884 loads of laundry (washed and dried).

In 2017, we served 501 people, who processed 922 loads of laundry.

Usually, we spend about $600 each month.  Parishioners have donated supplies and contributed towards the support of Laundry Love.  We received a generous grant from Southcoast Health Systems in 2016.

We are grateful for financial support from parishioners, the Masons of Boston Lodge of St. Andrew, First Citizens Federal Credit Union,  Southcoast Health, the Episcopal Church Women, the Bittersweet Bazaar, the Mt. Hope / Buzzards Bay Deanery and the management of the E-Z Clean Laundry Center.

Our committee continues to seek grants and donations. If you would like to volunteer or make a donation, please contact Travis Bowie, Marilyn Saint-Aubin, Chuck Cotter, Judy Knox or Diana Ukleja.
